Job summary

WIK Group invites an Engineer – Equipment for Recycle & Compounding Facility to join our international team in Batam. You will monitor equipment reliability, analyze root causes, and drive preventive maintenance to improve capacity and safety. Collaborate with maintenance, production, vendors, and experts for solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, mechatronics, electrical, or related engineering discipline.
• Experience with manufacturing equipment, preferably plastic processing, recycling, extrusion, crushing, washing, conveying, or pelletizing equipment and excellent or expert in recycling & compounding process.
• Able to read mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and technical specifications; strong mechanical/electrical understanding.

Engineer – Equipment for Recycle & Compounding Facility

Your Tasks

• Equipment reliability & performance, do the monitoring and performance of Recycle Compounding Facility (RCF), analyze, identify equipment reliability issues and ensure critical equipment is maintained in proper operating condition.
• Troubleshooting of equipment failures and abnormalities, perform root cause analysis, coordinate with maintenance, production, vendors, and external technical experts for equipment troubleshooting. Develop corrective and preventive actions for equipment-related problems.
• Preventive & predictive maintenance, develop and improve preventive maintenance schedules for critical equipment and define inspection points, maintenance standards, and critical equipment parameters.
• Equipment improvement & modification, identify opportunities to improve equipment capacity, reliability, safety, and efficiency and develop technical proposals for equipment modification or improvement.
• New equipment & investment, support technical evaluation and selection of new equipment and prepare equipment specifications and technical requirements.
• Spare Parts & Technical Documentation, identify critical spare parts and establish minimum stock requirements. Maintain equipment drawings, manuals, specifications, BOM, and technical documentation. Establish equipment history and maintenance records.
• Safety, ensure equipment operates according to applicable safety requirements and identify equipment-related safety risks.

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, mechatronics, electrical, or related engineering discipline, with minimum experiences 3 years in the same position.
• Experience with manufacturing equipment, preferably plastic processing, recycling, extrusion, crushing, washing, conveying, or pelletizing equipment and excellent or expert in recycling & compounding process.
• Able to read mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and technical specifications. Strong understanding of mechanical/electrical equipment and industrial machinery.
• Ability to perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, technical documentation. ERP or SAP system will be an advantage.
• Experience working with vendors and contractors is an advantage and willingness to work in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Fluent in English, solid skill for Microsoft office and good attitude, adaptability to company culture, teamwork spirit and influence skills, and seek continuous improvement, active listening, presentation skills.
