Job summary

WIK Group in Indonesia seeks an Engineer – Process for Recycle & Compounding Facility to optimize plastic recycling and compounding processes from raw material prep to pelletizing. You will develop SOPs, monitor process parameters, and drive improvements for yield, quality, energy efficiency, and safety.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in chemical, polymer, mechanical, or industrial engineering with at least 3 years in a related field, plus strong analytical skills and teamwork in a manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Ensure stable, efficient, and continuous improvement of RCF processes from raw material prep to pelletizing.
• Monitor process parameters, troubleshoot, and drive optimization for productivity, yield and quality.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and process safety standards.
• Lead root cause analyses and drive corrective actions across manufacturing operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cost reduction and energy efficiency improvements.

Engineer – Process for Recycle & Compounding Facility

Your Tasks

• Ensure stable, efficient, and continuous improvement of RCF manufacturing processes, covering plastic recycling processes from raw material preparation, crushing, washing, drying, extrusion, pelletizing, and quality control.
• Responsible for process monitoring, troubleshooting, process optimization, capacity improvement, cost reduction, quality improvement, and establishment of standardized manufacturing processes to achieve production, quality, cost, and safety targets.
• Process control & monitoring daily production processes and process parameters across RCF operations and troubleshooting & root cause analysis to lead technical investigation of process-related problems and improvement to identify and execute opportunities to improve productivity, yield, quality, energy efficiency, and process stability.
• New material or product process development to support evaluation and processing trials of recycled materials such as PP, PE, PET, and other applicable polymers.
• Production, cost performance, documentation & standardization. Development and maintain SOP, work instruction, process parameter sheet, process flow diagram. Ensure process activities comply with company safety standards. Identify process-related safety risks and recommend mitigation actions.

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, polymer, mechanical, industrial engineering, or any relevant discipline, with minimum experiences 3 years in the same position.
• Understanding plastic processing, particularly extrusion, crushing, washing, drying, and pelletizing is preferred, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, willing to work in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Familiar with recycling & compounding polymer process, process engineering optimization and root cause analysis. Perform root cause analysis using appropriate problem-solving tools such as 5 Why, fishbone, pareto, and other relevant methodologies.
• Proficient in engineering data analysis, knowledge of lean manufacturing, six sigma, kaizen, or other continuous improvement methodologies, good communication and coordination.
• Fluent in English, solid skill for Microsoft office and good attitude, adaptability to company culture, teamwork spirit and influence skills, and active listening, presentation skills.
