PT Argha Karya Prima Industry Tbk seeks a Lead Electrical Engineer to oversee the operation, maintenance, and reliability of electrical utility and powerhouse systems in a manufacturing environment.
You will manage MV–LV distribution, generators, transformers, and protection systems, drive preventive/predictive maintenance, lead a team, and coordinate with vendors while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
Lead and manage the operation, maintenance, and reliability of electrical utility and powerhouse systems to ensure stable and uninterrupted power supply for manufacturing operations. Manage and monitor MV–LV power distribution and powerhouse systems, including transformers, MV/LV panels, switchgear, protection systems, generators/gensets, and engine-driven power systems, including their operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance evaluation.
Key responsibilities
Develop and execute Preventive Maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance, and TPM programs for electrical utility and powerhouse equipment
Conduct load analysis, power system evaluation, and electrical reliability assessments to optimize power distribution and identify potential risks or improvement opportunities
Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, system improvement, modification, and reliability projects related to electrical utility and power distribution systems
Monitor energy consumption, power quality, equipment performance, and utility efficiency, and develop initiatives to optimize energy usage and operating costs
Lead and develop the Electrical & Powerhouse team, including work planning, technical guidance, performance monitoring, and capability development
Coordinate and supervise vendors/contractors for electrical maintenance, installation, testing, commissioning, and improvement projects
Ensure all electrical and powerhouse operations comply with K3LH, electrical safety standards, statutory requirements, and applicable regulations
Prepare and review maintenance, equipment performance, energy consumption, and electrical utility reports and provide recommendations to management
About you
Minimum D4 / Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Electrical Engineering
Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Electrical Utility, Power System, Electrical Engineering, or Powerhouse, preferably in a manufacturing or continuous-process industry
Proven experience managing large-scale industrial powerhouses and MV–LV electrical power distribution systems, including generators, transformers, switchgear, protection systems, MV/LV panels, and related electrical utility systems, preferably in a large-scale manufacturing environment
Strong technical knowledge of generators/gensets, engine-driven power systems, transformers, electrical protection, and power distribution
Experienced in electrical load analysis, power system reliability, preventive/predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis, as well as leading electrical improvement projects, system modifications, installation, testing, and commissioning
Familiar with power quality, energy monitoring, electrical efficiency, and utility cost optimization
Knowledge of electrical safety, K3LH, and applicable electrical regulations and standards
Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, leadership, and decision-making skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; familiarity with electrical engineering or maintenance management software is an advantage
