Electrical Engineer role at PT Central Global (PTCG), a general contractor in Batam's Free Trade Zone specialising in industrial projects such as factory fit-out, civil works, HVAC and MEP for manufacturing clients. You will be responsible for reviewing electrical designs, performing load calculations, selecting cables and equipment, inspecting installation work on site, and coordinating with other trades to ensure quality and safety.

Key responsibilities

Read and review electrical drawings (single-line diagrams, panel schedules, layouts, cable routing) and flag errors, clashes, or unsafe designs

Work out power ratings for MSB, DB, and sub-DB from machinery and equipment data provided by clients (load list, demand factor, future spare capacity)

Select cable type and size for each machine and feeder (current rating, voltage drop, installation method, protection)

Check electrical calculations and equipment selection from consultants and subcontractors

Survey quantities from drawings and actual site conditions, and compare site against drawings; prepare Bills of Quantities (BoQ) and cost estimates

Review shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements from subcontractors

Inspect installation work on site for quality and safety: panels, cables, cable trays, lighting, earthing, and power distribution

Witness testing and commissioning, and review test records

Verify subcontractor progress and quantities before payment claims

Coordinate with civil, HVAC, and other trades to avoid clashes on site

About you

S1 (Bachelor's degree) in Electrical Engineering

Able to read electrical drawings and judge whether the design and installation look safe and correct

Able to calculate load and size MSB, DB, sub-DB, breakers, and cables from client machinery and equipment data

Able to take off quantities from drawings and verify them on site

Knowledge of Indonesian electrical standards (PUIL / SNI)

Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English; good with Excel and Word

Willing to work on site regularly in industrial conditions

Honest, careful, and willing to say "this is not safe" when needed

Based in Batam, or willing to relocate
