PT Central Global in Batam seeks a Civil/Structural Engineer to support industrial projects in the Free Trade Zone. You will read drawings, verify calculations, perform quantity takeoffs, and inspect on-site workmanship while coordinating with Project Managers and clients.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, exposure to Indonesian standards, and fluency in Indonesian and English. Willingness to work on site in challenging conditions is essential.

Formación

• S1 (Bachelor's degree) in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• Read structural drawings and judge whether the design looks safe (members, reinforcement, connections, loads).
• Take off quantities from drawings and verify them on site.
• Knowledge of Indonesian standards (SNI) for concrete, steel, and seismic design.
• Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English, both spoken and written.
• Proficient with Excel and Word.
• Willing to work on site regularly in hot and dusty industrial conditions.
• Honest, careful, and willing to say This is not safe when needed.
• Based in Batam, or willing to relocate.

Responsabilidades

• Read and review structural and civil drawings, and flag anything unsafe, unclear, or inconsistent.
• Check structural calculations and design assumptions from consultants and subcontractors.
• Survey and calculate quantities from drawings and site conditions; prepare BoQ and cost estimates.
• Do site measurements and compare site conditions against drawings.
• Review shop drawings and method statements from subcontractors.
• Inspect work on site for quality and safety: reinforcement, concrete, steel, and civil finishing.
• Verify subcontractor progress and quantities before payment claims.
• Prepare as-built drawings, test records, and technical reports.
• Support the Project Manager with technical input, site coordination, and client meetings.
