Job summary

PT Central Global in Batam seeks an Electrical Engineer to review electrical designs, perform load calculations, and select cables and equipment. The role includes inspecting on-site installation to ensure safety and quality, with close coordination with civil, HVAC, and other trades.

The candidate will be based in Batam (or willing to relocate), read drawings, and verify compliance with PUIL/SNI. Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English is required; a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and assess safety.
• Ability to calculate load and size MSB, DB, sub-DB, breakers, and cables.
• Knowledge of Indonesian electrical standards (PUIL / SNI).

Responsibilities

• Review electrical drawings and flag errors or unsafe designs.
• Calculate power ratings for MSB, DB, and sub-DB.
• Select cable type and size for machines and feeders.
• Check calculations and equipment selection from consultants.
• Survey quantities and prepare BoQ and cost estimates.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, and method statements.
• Inspect on-site installation for quality and safety.
• Witness testing and commissioning, review test records.
• Verify subcontractor progress and quantities before payment.
• Coordinate with civil, HVAC and other trades to avoid clashes.
