Obayashi-Wijaya Karya-Jaya Konstruksi-JFE Engineering Joint Venture in Jakarta invites applications for an Assistant Trainer (E&I). The role is to transfer skills and knowledge to operation staff so the WWTP can be operated and maintained to meet national effluent standards.

The Assistant Trainer (E&I) shall be responsible for transferring skills and knowledge to all levels of operation staff to ensure the plant can be operated and maintained in the proper condition while producing effluent that meets the Indonesia national effluent standards.
The required works shall be conducted in two parts below:
Testing & Commissioning support, and Pre-training during the Test Run period (approx. 11 months)
O&M Training during the O&M training service period (24 months)
As a core member of the Training Team, the Trainer (E&I) supports the Chief Trainer (Foreigner) and E&I Trainer (Foreigner) delivering operator training and maintaining stable plant operations. The Assistant Trainer (E&I) provides day-to-day guidance to operators, ensuring that training activities are carried out smoothly. In the event of unforeseen troubles or incidents, the Assistant Trainer (E&I) promptly reports to the Chief Trainer, assists in troubleshooting, and supports timely resolution.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
During the pre-commissioning period, support the Chief Trainer in coordinating electrical & instrumentation (E&I)-related activities of each pre-commissioning team to ensure that E&I works for getting SLO Certificate and Signal Interface Test are executed smoothly.
During the commissioning period, support the Chief Trainer in coordinating electrical & instrumentation (E&I)-related activities of each commissioning team to ensure that E&I works for the Dry Run, Wet Run, and Commissioning are executed smoothly.
During the pre-commissioning period, propose detailed E&I pre-commissioning action plans as required based on site conditions, and lead/assist the team in executing E&I pre-commissioning tasks.
During the pre-training period, support and conduct E&I training activities which shall include: a) Introduction to the WWTP layout from an E&I perspective (power distribution, MCCs, control panels, PLC/DCS, field instruments, and signal interfaces), b) Safety procedures related to E&I works during and after commissioning (e.g., LOTO, electrical isolation, arc-flash precautions, safe testing practices), c) Testing, operating, calibrating, and maintaining plant electrical equipment and instrumentation (switchgear, transformers, MCCs/VFDs, motors, UPS/batteries, lighting/earthing, flow/level/pressure/pH/DO/ORP meters, analyzers, etc.,), d) Basic understanding and handling of E&I tools and test equipment (multimeter, insulation resistance tester, loop calibrator, communicator, etc.,)
During the pre-training period, support the preparation of monthly reports to the Engineer, providing E&I-related inputs as required.
During the O&M training period, thoroughly review E&I equipment manuals and ensure that operation, calibration, and maintenance activities are performed in accordance with them.
During the O&M training period, monitor the condition and performance of electrical systems, control systems, and field instruments on a daily basis and support stable operation through appropriate checks, adjustments, and preventive maintenance recommendations.
During the O&M training period, in the event of E&I equipment failures, alarms, or control/instrumentation issues, liaise with the direct supervisor and relevant parties (including local subcontractors and vendors) and work to address and resolve the problem.
During the O&M training period, provide E&I operation and maintenance training and perform the following duties: a) Supervision/support of day-to-day E&I activities (inspection, functional checks, calibration checks, panel checks), b) Guidance on E&I troubleshooting and corrective maintenance (e.g., power supply issues, motor/VFD/MCC faults, instrument loop faults, signal/noise issues, DCS/PLC I/O checking), c) E&I maintenance planning support (routine maintenance, shutdown preparation, work method statements, calibration plans), d) Practices and exercises to be carried out in case of equipment or power/control interruptions.
During the O&M training period, report E&I system status, maintenance activities, and site E&I issues to the Chief Trainer/management on a regular basis. In emergencies, promptly notify relevant stakeholders and support timely resolution.
During the O&M training period, manage E&I spare parts and consumables (e.g., sensors, transmitters, fuses, relays, lamps, cables, terminals), and carry out/assist replacement work as necessary.
Develop a thorough understanding of the operation and proper use of the E&I O&M equipment supplied by the Contractor, and provide training to the operators.
During the O&M training period, implement safety management for E&I works and maintenance activities.
Provide explanations and presentations to visitors (Employer, government officials, university representatives/students) regarding E&I systems and related O&M practices, as requested.
Perform other E&I-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor degree of Electrical Engineering
At least 7 years in operation and/or design and/or commissioning of electrical and instrumentation work for WWTP and/or other general industry.
Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia required.
