25hours Hotel Jakarta The Oddbird is seeking a Demi Chef to join our kitchen team and help deliver Latin American and Western cuisine with passion and precision. You will work with the Chef de Partie/Sous Chef to maintain mise en place, mentor junior staff, and uphold our high standards of taste, presentation, and hygiene across a fast-paced service.

We value leadership, calm under pressure, and strong communication, with a diploma-level culinary background and English fluency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years hands-on kitchen experience.
• Strong foundation in Latin American and Western cuisine.
• Formal culinary training or diploma is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage your station with mise en place and ensure service flows
• Prepare and cook Latin American and Western dishes following recipes
• Master grilling, roasting, frying, sautéing, and other methods
• Mentor Commis Chefs through daily prep and cooking
• Ensure dishes meet quality and portion standards before leaving the kitchen
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of workstation and equipment
• Enforce food safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures
• Lead by example and uphold professional appearance
