Job summary

Mano Beach House in Badung, Bali seeks a dedicated Daily Worker Kitchen Steward to support the culinary team by maintaining hygiene, cleaning, washing and sanitising utensils, and assisting with mise en place.

You will work in a fast-paced hospitality setting, require physical stamina, reliability and teamwork, with shift flexibility to fit kitchen needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen or hospitality role preferred.
• Good personal hygiene and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Washing, sanitising and storing all kitchen utensils, cookware, crockery and glassware according to health and safety standards
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of all kitchen areas, including work surfaces, floors, storage areas and waste disposal zones
• Operating and maintaining kitchen equipment such as dishwashers and sanitising systems
• Assisting with food preparation tasks, including vegetable preparation, portioning and basic mise en place as directed by senior kitchen staff
• Managing kitchen waste, recycling and composting in accordance with environmental protocols

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Daily Worker Kitchen Steward to join the culinary team at Mano Beach House, located in Badung, Bali. As Kitchen Steward, you will be responsible for ensuring that our kitchen facilities, equipment and utensils meet the highest standards of hygiene and functionality, enabling our chefs to deliver exceptional culinary experiences to our guests.

Key responsibilities

Washing, sanitising and storing all kitchen utensils, cookware, crockery and glassware according to health and safety standards

Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of all kitchen areas, including work surfaces, floors, storage areas and waste disposal zones

Operating and maintaining kitchen equipment such as dishwashers and sanitising systems

Assisting with food preparation tasks, including vegetable preparation, portioning and basic mise en place as directed by senior kitchen staff

Managing kitchen waste, recycling and composting in accordance with environmental protocols

What we're looking for

Previous experience as a Kitchen Steward, Kitchen Assistant or in a similar kitchen support role within a hospitality establishment

Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene

Physical fitness and ability to perform repetitive tasks, lift heavy items and stand for extended periods

Reliability and punctuality with a flexible approach to shift work

Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment
