Job summary

SOECHI GROUP in Indonesia seeks a senior Master Mariner to oversee shipboard safety, environmental and quality issues, and to lead risk assessments for assigned vessels. You will monitor navigation and cargo operation performance, support the Master, and ensure continuous compliance with international standards.

The role requires extensive sailing experience as Master (10+ years), proficiency in English, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• ANT-1 certification and Master License are required.
• Sailing experience as Master for at least 10 years.
• Proficient in English and willing to travel frequently.
• Having knowledge of maritime regulations (TMSA, SIRE, PSA) is a must.

Responsibilities

• Monitor shipboard marine safety, environmental and quality issues.
• Coordinate risk assessments for vessels and audits.
• Maintain ISM Certification and annual audit plan.
• Prepare and present reports on cargo losses and incidents.

Job description

Monitor the shipboard marine safety, environmental & quality issues, Control and monitor the risk for assigned vessels and to act as part of the risk assessment team for shipboard procedures and operations

monitoring monthly report of navigation equipment, ship's radio communication from the vessel

Monitor the office and shipboard marine, safety, environmental & quality issues

visit to vessel monitoring cargo operation loading and discharging

Monitor the voyage and operational performance of assigned vessels providing assistance to the Master as necessary.

Make daily/monthly reports and be responsible for the results of loading and unloading (R1; R2; R3 and R4)

Maintain ISM Certification and formulate the shipboard annual audit plan to ensure that audits are progressed (in conjunction with Quality Management Officer).

Conduct vessel inspections to confirm compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL, Load Line, STCW, ILO Conventions and applicable industry codes. Verify that any corrective action is agreed upon and implemented in a timely manner.

Maintain records of accidents, incidents, near misses and non-conformance reports. Verify that an effective investigation is carried out and appropriate corrective action is agreed upon and implemented in a timely manner.

Responsible for carrying out Marine procedures that are in accordance with the company's SOP

Analyze and make reports on the occurrence of cargo losses, as well as provide advice to the master and resolve any problems in the event of a cargo dispute

Coordinate with the Technical Superintendent if there are leaks and ship damage

Establish annual audit plans, arrange and co-ordinate internal audits, take part in audits and follow-up correction actions.

Arrange and monitor inspections onboard fleet vessels including pre-vetting, incident investigation, audit, QA implementation and safety training.

REQUIREMENTS :

ANT-1 (Ahli Nautika Tingkat 1) Certified/Master License

Sailing experience as Master capacity for at least 10 years

Having vast knowledge for maritime regulation also familiar with TMSA, SIRE, PSA etc. is a must

Possess good analytical thinking, proactive, good leadership and able to work Collaboratively
