Job summary

Novotel Makassar Grand Shayla seeks a cost control specialist to monitor expenses and drive efficiency in a busy hotel finance team. You will analyze data, prepare reports for department heads, and support budgeting processes with a focus on cost reduction.

Responsibilities include inventory reconciliations, variance analysis, and implementing cost-saving initiatives while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Strong analytical skills and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Diploma degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proven experience in cost control, financial management, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices and financial analysis.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy; strong organization.
• Effective oral and written communication; ability to work independently and with teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement cost control systems and procedures to monitor expenses and identify areas for improvement.
• Analyze financial data, prepare detailed cost reports, and provide insights to management for decision-making.
• Conduct regular inventory counts and reconciliations to maintain accurate stock levels.
• Monitor and report on budget variances; recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with department heads to develop and manage departmental budgets.
• Ensure compliance with policies, accounting standards, and local regulations.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Assist in cost-saving initiatives and maintain accurate financial records.
• Participate in forecasting and long-term financial planning; provide staff training on cost control.
