Job summary

Dusun Semilir is seeking a kitchen support staff to assist the Cook/Chef in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations within a hotel, restaurant, or villa environment.

You will help with mise en place, maintain cleanliness, ensure ingredient quality, and assist in breakfast and special events. Training is available for those new to hotel kitchen settings, with a focus on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum SMA/SMK or equivalent education, preferably in Culinary Arts.
• Experience in hotel/restaurant/villa kitchen is an advantage (willing to be trained).
• Understanding of basic food preparation techniques and kitchen hygiene standards.
• Able to follow instructions and work according to recipes and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Assist Cook/Chef in ingredient preparation (mise en place) including cutting, peeling, washing, and weighing ingredients.
• Support cooking and food presentation processes according to recipe standards and instructions.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, cooking equipment, and work areas according to hygiene and sanitation standards.
• Receive, inspect, and store food ingredients correctly using FIFO system.
• Ensure quality and freshness of ingredients and report damaged or low stock items.
• Assist in preparing dishes for breakfast, restaurant menu, and special events.
• Wash and organize kitchen equipment and storage areas.
• Apply occupational health and safety procedures in the kitchen area.
• Manage kitchen waste according to regulations.
• Coordinate with kitchen team and waiters for smooth service.
