Job summary

PaxOcean in Batam is seeking a Contracts Manager to oversee all contractual matters across the project lifecycle, from tender negotiations through execution and close-out. You will provide strategic contractual support to Project Managers and teams, ensuring compliance, risk management, and protection of the company’s commercial interests.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor degree required.
• Minimum 8 years in Contracts/Subcontracts/Legal function at Manager/Lead level for Ship Building or Oil & Gas projects.
• Minimum 5 years as part of a Project Management Team.
• Strong Bahasa Indonesia and English communications.
• Experience in Indonesia is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee contract management from tender through execution and close-out.
• Ensure compliance, manage changes, claims, disputes and settlements.
• Support Project Managers and teams on contractual performance.
• Track milestones and payment stages; verify Change Orders.
• Identify risks early; coordinate with Legal for mitigation strategies.
• Assist procurement with key terms and frame agreements.
• Provide contract training to project teams on workflows and governance.
• Organize contract familiarization workshops for project teams.
• Drive continuous process and policy improvements in contract management.
