Job summary

PaxOcean is seeking an Assistant Manager, Commercial (Invoicing Division) in Batam to lead invoicing, billing and commercial settlement activities for ship repair projects. You will ensure accurate capture of works, variations, and subcontracted services, aligning with contracts and approved budgets.

Role requires 8-10 years in shipyard settings, strong MS Excel and ERP skills, and a keen eye for detail to support revenue collection and project profitability.

Qualifications

• Diploma or engineering degree in Marine Engineering/Naval Architecture.
• 8-10 years of experience in shipyard/fabrication environments.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and modern ERP systems.
• Strong understanding of ship repair operations, dry docking, and marine repair activities.
• Expertise in invoicing, billing, and commercial settlement procedures.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and documentation skills.
• Effective negotiation and communication abilities.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary billing officer for assigned ship repair projects.
• Capture, verify, and record all repair works, labor, materials, and subcontracted services.
• Coordinate with production, planning, engineering, and superintendent teams for accurate work records.
• Prepare and verify draft invoices against estimates, contracts, and variations.
• Process variations and additional works billing with estimation input.
• Assist in commercial settlements, MOAs, and settlement negotiations with clients and superintendents.
• Coordinate with finance for timely invoicing, revenue recognition, and follow-up on outstanding invoices.
• Review subcontractor invoices against budgets and contracts, resolving discrepancies.
