About the role PT China Construction Yangtze River Indonesia is seeking an experienced Construction Machine Management | Electrical | Mechanic to join our operations team in West Cikarang, West Java. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in overseeing the maintenance, operation, and management of construction machinery and equipment across our project sites. As a key supervisory role within our construction operations, you will be responsible for ensuring that all mechanical and electrical systems function at optimal efficiency, maintaining safety standards, and maximising equipment uptime to support project timelines and budgets.
Key responsibilities
Supervise and manage the daily operation and maintenance of construction machinery, including excavators, bulldozers, cranes, and other heavy equipment
Oversee routine preventative maintenance schedules and coordinate with mechanics to ensure all equipment remains in proper working condition
Inspect machinery and equipment regularly to identify mechanical and electrical faults before they impact operations
Manage the repair and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical systems on construction equipment
Coordinate spare parts inventory and procurement to minimise equipment downtime
Train and supervise mechanics and equipment operators to maintain safety and operational standards
Prepare and maintain detailed records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and performance
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and construction site protocols
Liaise with project managers to communicate equipment status and any constraints affecting project delivery
Conduct equipment safety inspections and manage the certification and documentation of all machinery
What we're looking for
Proven experience as a machine operator, mechanic, or supervisor in construction or heavy equipment management
Strong knowledge of construction machinery types, maintenance requirements, and operational best practices
Technical expertise in electrical and mechanical systems, with the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment faults
Supervisory or leadership experience with the ability to manage teams effectively and foster a safety-conscious culture
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple equipment units simultaneously
Proficiency in maintenance record-keeping and reporting systems
Strong communication skills in Indonesian and English (both written and verbal)
Knowledge of Indonesian construction regulations and safety standards
Relevant technical certifications in mechanical engineering, electrical systems, or heavy equipment operation (preferred)
Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in identifying and addressing equipment issues
