Job summary

PT China Construction Yangtze River Indonesia is seeking experienced Site Engineers, QC Engineers, and Technical Engineers to join our West Cikarang project in West Java. This full-time role focuses on ensuring project quality, safety, and technical excellence while working on-site on infrastructure and construction projects.

You will coordinate with design teams, contractors, and field staff to monitor progress, perform tests, document results, and maintain compliance with Indonesia standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 2–3+ years of hands-on site experience.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials testing and QC procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specs.
• Fluent in English and Indonesian, both written and verbal.
• Familiarity with local Indonesia codes and standards.
• Experience with MS Office and basic construction software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality control inspections on concrete, steel, and other materials.
• Monitor and supervise on-site activities to align with designs and safety protocols.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and daily progress reports.
• Liaise with design teams, contractors, and management to resolve issues.
• Perform material testing and ensure proper storage and handling.
• Coordinate with surveyors to verify site measurements.
• Identify defects and track corrective actions to completion.
• Assist in preparing as-built drawings and technical specs.

What you'll be doing

• Conducting quality control inspections and testing on concrete, steel, and other construction materials to ensure compliance with specifications and standards
• Monitoring and supervising construction activities on-site to ensure adherence to approved designs, plans, and safety protocols
• Preparing and maintaining detailed technical documentation, daily reports, and project records
• Liaising between the design team, contractors, and management to resolve technical issues and implement solutions

• Identifying and reporting defects or non-conformities, and tracking corrective actions to completion

• Attending project meetings and providing technical updates and progress reports

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
• Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in civil or structural engineering, with hands-on site experience
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials testing, and quality control procedures
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
• Familiarity with construction standards and regulations applicable to Indonesia
• Experience with construction management software and MS Office applications
• Excellent communication skills in English and Indonesian (both written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Valid professional engineering certification or willingness to obtain one is advantageous
• Experience with concrete testing, structural inspection, or quality assurance is preferred
