Qualifications

• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in technical support, warranty management, or after‑sales service within heavy equipment or mechanical engineering industries.
• Proven leadership experience directing technical teams and operations in a manufacturing or equipment service environment.
• Strong knowledge of heavy equipment systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and mechanical components.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the technical support and warranty section, overseeing technicians and staff to ensure efficient operations and service delivery.
• Develop and implement technical support policies, procedures, and best practices to maximise uptime and customer satisfaction.
• Manage warranty claims with accurate documentation, timely processing, and compliance with terms and conditions.
• Coordinate with engineering and operations teams to identify recurring issues and develop corrective action plans.
• Provide technical guidance and training on diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of heavy equipment.
• Monitor technical performance metrics, warranty expenditure, and customer feedback to identify improvements.
• Maintain relationships with key customers, addressing technical concerns and ensuring SLAs are met.
• Manage spare parts inventory and procurement for warranty and support operations.
• Prepare reports on warranty costs, incidents, and team performance for senior management.
• Investigate equipment failures and warranty claims to determine root causes and prevent recurrences.

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Support & Warranty Section Head – Heavy Equipment to join PT Maximus Indo Asia in Tangerang, Banten. This is a contract position that offers a strategic opportunity to lead and oversee the technical support and warranty operations for our heavy equipment division. As Section Head, you will be responsible for managing a team that ensures our customers receive exceptional after-sales support, whilst maintaining warranty compliance and operational excellence. This leadership role is crucial to our business objectives, as it directly impacts customer satisfaction, equipment performance, and the company's reputation in the mechanical engineering and heavy equipment sector.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the technical support and warranty section, overseeing a team of technicians and support staff to ensure efficient operations and service delivery
• Develop and implement technical support policies, procedures, and best practices to maximise equipment uptime and customer satisfaction
• Manage warranty claims, ensuring accurate documentation, timely processing, and compliance with warranty terms and conditions

What we're looking for

• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in technical support, warranty management, or after-sales service within the heavy equipment or mechanical engineering industry
• Proven leadership experience managing technical teams and directing operational functions within a manufacturing or equipment service environment
• Strong technical knowledge of heavy equipment systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and mechanical components
• Excellent understanding of warranty management processes, claims handling, and compliance requirements
• Demonstrated ability to analyse technical data, identify trends, and implement solutions to reduce warranty costs and improve equipment reliability
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external customers
• Experience in staff training, development, and performance management
• Problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement and operational efficiency
• Knowledge of relevant Indonesian regulations and industry standards for heavy equipment is desirable
• Proficiency in English is required; Indonesian language skills are advantageous
