Job summary

Samudera Indonesia is seeking a proactive Department Head for TBS Planning & Engineering in Jakarta to lead planning and engineering initiatives across port operations. You will drive ship movement coordination, planning of loading and unloading, and ensure safety and compliance.

You will mentor and develop the team, analyze operational data to boost efficiency, and oversee integration of management systems. Fluency in Indonesian and English is required.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Professional fluency in Indonesian and English (written & spoken).
• Technical proficiency: AutoCAD, SketchUp, SAP2000/ETABS, MS Project/Primavera, MS Office.
• Demonstrated leadership, strategic decision-making, effective communication, adaptability, strong teamwork, and a positive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manage arrival and departure of ships; ensure loading/unloading and regulate ship movements within the port.
• Provide facilities and safety procedures for ships, cargo, and workers at the port.
• Analyze operational data to improve efficiency and make data-driven decisions.
• Develop and mentor team members through mentoring, coaching, and counseling.
