Job summary

UNIT. Group in Bali, Indonesia seeks a senior Chief Engineer to lead reviews of architectural, structural, and MEP designs and coordinate major projects.

The role requires extensive hands-on management of large-scale construction, including villas and multi-unit developments, with strong leadership and international collaboration. The candidate must hold a Bachelor's in Civil/Structural Engineering, 10–20 years of experience, fluency in English, and Indonesian for local stakeholders.

Job description

Lead the review and evaluation of architectural, structural, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) designs.

Identify design discrepancies, technical risks, and opportunities for engineering optimization.

Propose practical and cost-effective engineering solutions without compromising quality, safety, or project requirements.

Oversee technical implementation and ensure construction works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and engineering standards.

Conduct site inspections and provide technical direction to site engineers and supervisors.

Coordinate architectural, structural, civil, and MEP engineering systems to ensure seamless integration.

Act as the primary technical link between design consultants, engineering teams, site supervisors, subcontractors, and project management.

Provide technical leadership and direction to subcontractors, consultants, and site engineering personnel.

Establish and enforce engineering quality requirements throughout the construction process.

Take ownership of complex technical issues and independently drive them toward resolution.

Job Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline.

Minimum of approximately 10-20 years of relevant engineering and construction experience ( Especially in villa development projects).

Extensive hands-on experience managing large-scale construction and property development projects.

Proven experience in major hotels, shopping centers, commercial buildings, infrastructure, or large multi-unit residential developments.

Demonstrated experience in senior technical leadership roles with responsibility for design coordination and construction site supervision.

Strong expertise in architectural and engineering design review, coordination, and optimization.

Extensive knowledge of construction methods, engineering systems, and technical implementation on site.

Proven ability to coordinate civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems.

Fluent English, both written and spoken.

Indonesian language proficiency is required for local candidates; foreigner candidates must be able to communicate effectively with project stakeholders.
