Job summary

UNIT. Group in Bali, Indonesia seeks a senior Chief Engineer to lead reviews of architectural, structural, and MEP designs and coordinate major projects.

The role requires extensive hands-on management of large-scale construction, including villas and multi-unit developments, with strong leadership and international collaboration. The candidate must hold a Bachelor's in Civil/Structural Engineering, 10–20 years of experience, fluency in English, and Indonesian for local stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• 10–20 years of relevant engineering and construction experience.
• Experience in villa developments and large-scale construction projects.
• Senior technical leadership with design coordination and site supervision.
• Fluent English; Indonesian proficiency for local candidates.

Responsibilities

• Lead review and evaluation of architectural, structural, and MEP designs.
• Identify design discrepancies, risks, and optimization opportunities.
• Propose practical engineering solutions without compromising safety or requirements.
• Oversee technical implementation and ensure construction complies with drawings and standards.
• Conduct site inspections and provide technical direction to site engineers and supervisors.
• Coordinate architectural, structural, civil, and MEP systems for seamless integration.
• Act as the primary technical link between design consultants, engineering teams, site supervisors, subcontractors, and project management.
• Provide technical leadership to subcontractors and site personnel.
• Establish and enforce engineering quality requirements throughout construction.
• Take ownership of complex technical issues and drive them to resolution.
