PT. Eastward Group Indonesia at Surabaya Airport is seeking a cargo supervisor to oversee export cargo operations and coordinate with the airline, GHA, freight forwarders, and other parties to ensure cargo is processed per the airline's procedures.
The role includes load planning, monitoring shipments from origin to destination, and generating post-flight reports. English proficiency and strong coordination are essential, with shift work including nights and holidays possible.
The candidate will be responsible for supervising export cargo operations at Surabaya Airport, ensuring smooth coordination between the Airline, GHA, Freight Forwarders, and other relevant parties. The role will also handle operational documentation, shipment monitoring, and coordination to ensure cargo is processed and uplifted according to the airline's requirements and operational procedures. Provide operational support to the Cargo Manager in handling day-to-day cargo operational matters at Surabaya Airport (SUB).
Key responsibilitiesSupervise export cargo operations and coordinate with the appointed Ground Handling Agent (GHA)
Prepare load planning based on assigned cargo priorities and communicate with the warehouse and Load Control team
Monitor cargo movement from origin until the cargo reaches the destination airport and follow up on operational discrepancies or delays
Prepare post-flight cargo reports and provide accurate operational updates after flight departure and weekly reports
Communicate and coordinate with cargo agents regarding operational issues, shipment status, and export documentation requirements
Maintain good relationships with agents to get updated cargo market information
Handle post-flight documentation and related activities in accordance with company and airline standards
About youMinimum 1–2 years of relevant work experience, preferably in airline cargo, ground handling, or freight forwarding
Good command of written and spoken English
Good communication and coordination skills
Able to work independently and take initiative in handling operational matters
Willing to work on shift schedules, including overnight shifts, weekends, and public holidays
Able to manage multiple operational tasks in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with air cargo operations, export procedures, and cargo documentation is an advantage
