We are seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team at our head office in South Jakarta, Jakarta. This is a full-time position that will be instrumental in driving growth and expansion within our maritime operations in the mining, resources and energy industries.
Identify and evaluate new business opportunities within the mining, resources and energy sectors that align with our maritime service offerings
Develop and implement strategic business development plans to expand market share and increase revenue streams
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners and stakeholders in the industrial and resource sectors
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform business strategy and identify emerging trends
Develop pricing strategies and commercial models that are competitive whilst maintaining profitability
Prepare comprehensive proposals and presentations for prospective clients and partners
Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure new business deals and partnerships
Collaborate with internal teams including operations, finance and supporting departments to ensure successful project delivery
Monitor and report on business development metrics, pipelines and revenue performance
Attend industry events, conferences and trade shows to network and promote company services
Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Engineering, Marines or a related field
Strong understanding of maritime operations, shipping logistics and supply chain management
5+ years of business development or sales experience, preferably within the maritime, shipping or mining, resources and energy sectors
Knowledge of Indonesian maritime regulations and compliance requirements is highly desirable
Proven track record of successfully identifying and closing new business opportunities
Strategic thinking with the ability to analyse market trends and develop actionable business plans
Excellent negotiation and contract management skills
Outstanding communication and presentation abilities in both Indonesian and English
Strong relationship-building skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office suite
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
