PT. Turnkey Properties Indonesia (Betterplace Property Management & Real Estate) is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial transactions, maintain ledgers, and oversee accounts payable and receivable. The role includes bank reconciliations, monthly closings, and preparation of financial reports for property management.
You will support tax compliance, assist with audits, and help ensure accurate and timely financial documentation across projects and departments.
The Bookkeeper is responsible for recording and maintaining accurate financial transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Record day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring all entries are accurate and documented properly.
Maintain and update the general ledger by posting income, expenses, and other financial transactions.
Bank and Credit Card Reconciliation:
Reconcile bank and credit card statements with internal financial records to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Investigate discrepancies and resolve any mismatched entries.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Manage accounts payable by processing invoices, ensuring timely payments to suppliers, and maintaining a record of bills.
Handle accounts receivable by issuing invoices to clients, tracking payments, and following up on outstanding balances.
Preparing invoices based on requests from other departments, such as project invoices, Airbnb ready item invoices, and other related invoices.
Assisting the Head of Accounting in summarizing and preparing property reports.
Preparing additional data and supporting reports to complement the property reports, such as expense details, revenue details, and yearly property summary reports.
Expense Tracking and Budgeting:
Track and categorize company expenses, ensuring they are aligned with the budget.
Monitor spending to ensure it stays within budget and recommend cost‑saving measures.
Tax Preparation Assistance:
Assist in the preparation of tax returns by maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
Liaise with external accountants or tax professionals during the preparation of yearly tax filings.
Maintain Filing System:
Organize and maintain financial records, including receipts, invoices, and other relevant documents.
Ensure all financial documentation is properly archived for easy retrieval during audits or financial reviews.
Compliance with Accounting Standards:
Ensure that all financial transactions comply with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
Stay updated with changes in financial regulations and implement best practices in bookkeeping processes.
Inventory Management:
Track and record inventory purchases and sales, ensuring accurate stock levels in accounting systems.
Reconcile inventory records with actual stock and resolve discrepancies.
Petty Cash Management:
Manage petty cash transactions, ensuring all expenditures are properly recorded and reconciled.
Replenish petty cash funds as needed and maintain a detailed log of petty cash usage.
Assist with Audits:
Provide support during internal and external audits by preparing financial reports and providing requested documents.
Daily Book Control
Confirm that transactions are recorded, review suspense accounts, and follow up unallocated transactions or items requiring support.
Balance Sheet Reconciliation
Support reconciliation of bank, credit card, AR, AP, advances, deposits, accruals, prepaid expenses, tax payable, payroll payable, and other balance sheet accounts.
Intercompany / Recharge Reconciliation
Reconcile intercompany and recharge balances and investigate mismatches, ensuring the receivable of one company agrees with the payable of the counterparty under the approved accounting treatment.
Fixed Asset and Depreciation Support
Maintain the fixed asset register, record additions and disposals, support monthly depreciation, and check asset classification.
Month-End Closing Support
Support bank and balance sheet reconciliations, accrual and prepaid review, depreciation, AP/AR reconciliation, intercompany reconciliation, and suspense-account review
