Qualifications

• Pengalaman sebagai Barista atau peran serupa di kafe/restoran.

• Keterampilan pelayanan pelanggan yang ramah.
• Fleksibilitas kerja shift pagi, siang, malam, dan akhir pekan.

Responsibilities

• Menyajikan berbagai minuman panas dan dingin dengan presisi dan konsistensi.
• Mengoperasikan mesin espresso, giling, dan peralatan kafe secara aman.
• Menerima pesanan pelanggan dan memberi rekomendasi minuman.
• Memberikan layanan pelanggan yang luar biasa dengan menyapa tamu dan menjawab pertanyaan.
• Menjaga area kerja bersih, rapi, dan higienis sesuai standar kesehatan.

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Barista to join the team at Kohicha Cafe in Kelapa Gading Jakarta. This is a full-time position where you will be at the heart of our café operations, crafting exceptional beverages and creating memorable experiences for our customers. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and reputation of our café, ensuring every cup of coffee and tea meets our high standards. This position offers the opportunity to develop your expertise in specialty beverage preparation whilst contributing to a vibrant and welcoming café environment.

Key responsibilities

• Preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold beverages, including speciality coffees, teas, and other café drinks with precision and consistency


• Operating espresso machines, grinders, and other café equipment safely and maintaining them in excellent working condition


• Taking customer orders and providing knowledgeable recommendations about beverages and menu offerings


• Ensuring exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering enquiries, and addressing any concerns promptly


• Maintaining a clean, organised and hygienic workspace, including the espresso bar, equipment, and service areas in compliance with health and safety standards


• Monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, tea, milk, syrups, and other ingredients, and reporting when supplies need replenishing


• Creating latte art and other decorative beverage presentations to enhance the visual appeal of drinks


• Processing payments accurately and handling cash and card transactions with integrity


• Collaborating with team members to ensure smooth café operations during peak and quiet periods


• Following company recipes and procedures to maintain consistency across all beverages served

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience working as a Barista or in a similar beverage preparation role within a café or restaurant environment


• Strong knowledge of different coffee beans, brewing methods, and tea varieties


• Proficiency in operating espresso machines and other café equipment


• Ability to create latte art and other specialty beverage presentations


• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor


• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards in every beverage prepared


• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, particularly during peak service times


• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team


• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks


• Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends as required


• A passion for hospitality and genuine interest in creating positive customer experiences


• Barista certification or formal training in coffee preparation is highly desirable
