Job summary

Mercure Jakarta Gatot Subroto seeks a Banquet Supervisor to lead banquet operations, coordinate events, and ensure service excellence for meetings, weddings, and functions. You will supervise the banquet team, coordinate with kitchen and other departments, and uphold quality standards.

Requirements include a Diploma/Bachelor in Hospitality Management and at least 2 years of banquet/F&B supervisory experience, with strong leadership and English language skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of banquet or F&B operations experience, preferably in hotel or resort.
• Previous supervisory experience is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of banquet service standards, event setup, F&B service, and function operations.
• Strong leadership and team supervision skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good command of English; other languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily Banquet Department operations.
• Ensure all banquet functions follow BEO and hotel standards.
• Review event requirements, function sheets, menus, guest numbers, timing, room setup, and special requests.
• Conduct pre-event briefings and communicate event details to the banquet team.
• Supervise setup of tables, chairs, linens, tableware, buffet stations, staging.
• Coordinate with Kitchen for menu timing and dietary requirements.
• Collaborate with Event, Sales, F&B, Stewarding, Engineering for smooth execution.
• Monitor service quality and guest satisfaction during events.
