Job summary

AccorHotels Indonesia is seeking an Assistant Supervisor to oversee banquet operations for weddings, conferences, and events at our Jakarta venue. You will lead and train the banquet team, coordinate event setups, and ensure flawless service in line with brand standards.

The role requires a hospitality management degree and at least 2 years of banquet/F&B experience, preferably in a hotel or resort. English proficiency is essential, and Mandarin or other languages are a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in banquet or F&B operations, preferably in a hotel or resort.
• Previous supervisory experience is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of banquet service standards, event setup, food and beverage service, and function operations.
• Strong leadership and team supervision skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good command of English; additional languages are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Supervise banquet operations before, during, and after events
• Lead, brief, coach, and motivate the banquet team
• Ensure seamless execution of meetings, weddings, conferences, and social events
• Coordinate event setups, room layouts, table arrangements, equipment, and service requirements
• Ensure all events are delivered in line with Novotelservice standards
• Coordinate closely with Culinary, Events, Stewarding, and other hotel departments
• Monitor food and beverage service, presentation, timing, and quality
• Welcome guests and respond promptly to requests, concerns, and special requirements
• Conduct pre-event briefings and communicate event details, VIP requirements, and special arrangements
• Monitor team grooming, service etiquette, cleanliness, and professional standards
• Coach and develop team members through on-the-job training and constructive feedback
• Monitor banquet equipment and inventory and report shortages, damages, or maintenance requirements
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, health, and safety standards
