Qualifications

• Formal culinary training or relevant qualification in food preparation and cookery.
• Basic knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards and kitchen best practices.
• Willingness to learn and develop culinary skills under supervision.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions.
• Physical fitness to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Reliability and a positive attitude toward work.
• Experience in sandwich or kitchen preparation is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking food items according to standardised recipes and presentation requirements.
• Assisting senior chefs with preparation of ingredients: washing, peeling, chopping and portioning.
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of workstation and kitchen equipment.
• Following all food safety and hygiene protocols to ensure high standards of food quality and safety.
• Supporting the kitchen team during service for timely and accurate dish preparation.
• Contributing to stock rotation and inventory management as directed.
• Assisting with sandwich preparation and plating to meet customer expectations.
• Taking direction from senior kitchen staff and responding to feedback.
