MatchaTalent is seeking an HRBP Director to lead the HR function in Bali, partnering with the Founder/CEO to shape HR strategy, governance, and Indonesian labor-law compliance for a fast-growing luxury real estate business.

This role blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution, overseeing employee relations, contracts, and performance systems while building a high-performance, international culture in a dynamic environment. Fluency in English required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years HR experience with at least 5 years in senior leadership or strategic HR roles.
• Experience in real estate, property development, or hospitality is highly preferred.
• Proven experience partnering with executive leadership and C-level stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian labor law and HR compliance.
• Hands-on experience with employment contracts, employee relations, and HR governance.

Responsibilities

• Partner closely with executive leadership on people strategy and organizational planning.
• Develop HR initiatives aligned with business objectives and long-term growth.
• Advise management on workforce planning, organizational design, and performance management.
• Build and strengthen the HR function to support expansion.
• Develop and implement HR governance, policies, and employee regulations.
• Standardize HR processes and best practices across the organization.
• Establish clear accountability structures and performance management systems.
• Ensure HR practices comply with Indonesian labor laws and employment regulations.
• Monitor regulatory updates and provide recommendations to management.
• Identify and mitigate employment-related risks and maintain HR documentation.
• Lead employee relations, disciplinary actions, restructuring, and change management.
• Support dispute resolution and industrial relations matters when required.
• Review and standardize employment agreements and other documentation.
• Develop employment frameworks for different levels within the organization.
• Ensure all documentation meets legal and organizational standards.
• Design performance management systems and accountability frameworks.
• Help leadership establish clear KPIs and organizational structure.
