Job summary

Garena Indonesia is seeking a backend engineer to design and implement robust web services using Python and Django. You will write high-quality code, run unit tests, and maintain CI/CD workflows while leveraging AI helpers to accelerate development.

You will analyze requirements to craft scalable backend features and AI-driven workflows, optimize performance and caching, and collaborate with product and frontend teams to deliver cutting-edge web technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field and a passion for coding and solving complex problems.
• Hands-on experience with web service frameworks (Django, FastAPI), Python, and both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience using AI coding assistants and building agentic workflows, LLM integrations, or customized prompt engineering.
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and the HTTP protocol.
• Proven ability to optimize cache and database logic (Redis, Memcached).
• Familiarity with Linux development, Docker, and Kubernetes; capable of debugging large-scale systems.
