Job summary

Azura Labs is seeking a Backend Engineer to build and maintain scalable, secure APIs powering digital products. You will contribute to robust backend services, collaborate with frontend, product managers, and designers, and help ensure code quality through reviews and testing.

The role emphasizes clean code, documented APIs, and strong database design and performance optimization. Candidates should have 3–5 years of backend experience and proficiency in Node.js/Express.

Qualifications

• Strong RESTful API design and development.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, data modeling and query optimization.
• Experience with Amazon S3 or S3-compatible storage.
• Proficient with Git and collaborative workflows.
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to perform performance tuning.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain efficient, secure, and reliable APIs
• Write clean, tested, and well-documented code
• Collaborate with Frontend Engineers, Product Managers, and Product Designers to deliver high-quality technical solutions
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and engineering standards
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance
• Contribute to database design, optimization, and maintenance.

REQUIREMENTS

• Indonesian citizen with 3-5 years of professional experience as a Backend Engineer or Backend Developer
• Proficient in Node.js and Express.js
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL, database design, data modeling, and query optimization
• Experience with Amazon S3 or S3-compatible object storage
• Strong fundamentals in Data Structures, Algorithms, and Core Computer Science concepts
• Proficient with Git and collaborative development workflows
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Ability to perform performance tuning and query optimization.

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Familiarity with Docker and containerization technologies
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
• Basic understanding of microservices architecture.
