Job summary

Traveloka, a Jakarta-based travel tech startup, is seeking an experienced backend engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend applications and APIs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact solutions and improve system performance in a high-traffic environment.

The role requires deep backend expertise, proficiency in Go/Java/Python, and a strong ownership mindset, with a focus on maintainability and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from a reputable university
• Minimum 3 years of experience in software engineering, particularly in efficient backend development
• Proficiency in Go, Java, or Python
• Ability to dive deep and work across backend services, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and maintainability
• Experience designing scalable and maintainable architectures
• Eagerness to continuously learn - whether it’s technology-related, product-related, or beyond
• A strong sense of ownership and accountability for both the product(s) and assigned tasks
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written
