Job description

AVP Market Research & Intelligence is responsible to deliver external data (e.g. macroeconomy data, telco-related data, etc) and internal data analysis and provide a recommendation to support overall strategy formulation and specific projects.

Key tasks and responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end macroeconomic analysis and translate macroeconomic trends into actionable insights on telco market potential, including industry growth outlook, and long-term demand for connectivity services.
• Drive regular market intelligence reporting by analysing telco-related indicators and monitor competitive movements across the Indonesian telco market.
• Manage and continuously improve internal and external market intelligence databases, integrating company performance data, published industry reports, regulator data, competitor disclosures, macroeconomic sources, and third-party research.
• Develop robust market sizing, forecasting, and scenario analysis to align external market potential with internal business performance, supporting more accurate growth assumptions, business planning, and strategic decision-making.
• Provide insights and recommendations to senior management on market opportunities, industry risks, competitive threats, and potential growth areas to support the company’s long-term strategic agenda.
• Support the assessment, prioritization, and execution of strategic initiatives by providing data-driven analysis, business case development, benchmarking, and market validation.
• Act as a strategic partner to cross-functional teams, including, B2C, B2B, Network, and other functions, to ensure market insights are embedded into business planning and execution.
• Support Strategic Project and Management Office deliveries by coordinating analysis, tracking key milestones, identifying execution risks, and preparing executive-level updates for senior leadership.
• Contribute to IOH strategic project assessments by evaluating market attractiveness, competitive positioning, financial implications, execution feasibility, and long-term value creation potential.
• Lead and develop a team of market research and intelligence professionals, strengthening analytical capability, business acumen, data interpretation, stakeholder management, and executive communication.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enrich market understanding and strengthen the quality of insights.

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in market research, business intelligence, commercial strategy, consumer insights, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
