Job summary

JD Sports Indonesia in Balikpapan is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to drive store performance, coach the team, and ensure exceptional in-store service.

You will oversee daily store operations, implement visual merchandising standards, and lead training to raise customer satisfaction and sales. This role requires strong leadership, retail experience, and willingness to work shifts, five days a week including public holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in retail or related field.
• Experience as Assistant Store Manager preferred.
• Able to work shifts, 5 days a week including public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain customer retention by providing first-class service.
• Deal with enquiries and complaints and resolve the issue/request.
• Drive consistency within your internal teams to achieve the highest service levels.
• Following a weekly brief, ensure that this is applied to your store and maintain high visual standards.
• Attract, engage and motivate customers into making purchases in store by using the latest visual techniques.
• Make sure that all new products and advertised product is all visible and in the correct locations.
• Build, develop and manage your team, train them and develop their expertise and know-how
• Develop existing team members and encourage progression within the company.
• Hold regular training meetings within the store, making sure the team around you are able to maintain the high standards required.

Requirement:

• At least 4 years of working experience in the retail industry or related field, preferably have experience as an Assistant Store Manager with minimum 3 year experience.
• Possess good customer service, driven to achieve sales targets, strong leadership, & hard worker.
• Have good interpersonal skills, good at problem-solving, & good at communication.
• Willing to work on shifts
• Ready to work 5 days a week and work on public holidays
