Production is not just about hitting daily output targets.
It’s about making sure every part of the process works together - from material readiness and machine availability to product quality, team productivity, and on-time delivery.
When production falls behind, machines break down, or defects start piling up, someone needs to understand what’s happening on the floor, identify the root cause, and get things back on track.
We’re looking for a Assistant Production Manager who can take ownership of daily production operations, coordinate across teams, and turn production plans into consistent, measurable results.
If you enjoy solving operational challenges and know how to keep people, processes, and machines moving in the right direction, keep reading.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate daily production plans with PPIC based on Sales Orders, machine capacity, material availability, and delivery targets
- Ensure materials, manpower, machines, moulds, and supporting equipment are ready before production begins
- Oversee the recycled plastic board production process, from Mixing, Oven, Hot Press, and Cold Press to Welding and Finishing
- Monitor production parameters, including temperature, pressure, heating time, and cooling time, to ensure consistent product quality
- Track production output, labor productivity, machine utilization, and overall process efficiency against established targets
- Coordinate Production Supervisors and Group Leaders to manage manpower allocation, shift activities, and daily production priorities
- Work closely with QC to maintain quality standards and address defects such as pinholes, warpage, dimensional inconsistencies, and finishing rejects
- Identify production bottlenecks, machine downtime, material waste, and quality issues, then coordinate corrective actions with relevant teams
- Coordinate with Maintenance to ensure machine reliability, preventive maintenance, and timely resolution of equipment breakdowns
- Collaborate with Warehouse and Procurement to maintain material availability and minimize production disruptions
- Ensure accurate production records, material consumption reports, quality inspection results, downtime logs, and reject data
- Prepare daily production reports covering output, productivity, quality, material usage, downtime, and operational challenges
- Evaluate production performance and recommend improvements in capacity, efficiency, quality, and resource utilization
- Ensure compliance with production SOPs, work instructions, 5R/5S practices, and workplace safety standards
- Work with relevant teams to improve and implement production procedures, work instructions, and process standards
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in production or manufacturing operations, preferably in a supervisory or team leadership role
- Understanding of production planning, capacity management, and shop-floor operations
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, machinery, and production parameters
- Experience monitoring production output, productivity, downtime, and product quality
- Ability to identify operational problems, analyze root causes, and coordinate corrective actions
- Strong coordination skills across Production, PPIC, QC, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Procurement
- Comfortable managing teams, allocating manpower, and handling day-to-day production challenges
- Familiarity with SOP implementation, 5R/5S, workplace safety, and continuous improvement practices
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- High ownership, accountability, and the ability to make sound operational decisions under pressure
The right person doesn’t just keep production running. They understand what drives performance, recognize what needs fixing, and take responsibility for making things better.
If you’re ready to take the next step in your manufacturing career and make a real impact on the production floor, we’d like to hear from you.
