PT Nova Modular Indonesia in Makassar is seeking an Accountant and Finance professional to join our finance team. This full-time role supports financial health, prepares accurate reports, and ensures compliance with Indonesian standards.

You will handle general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, tax compliance, and assist with audits. A bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance, 2–3 years in manufacturing accounting, and fluency in Indonesian and English are essential.

Responsibilities

• Generate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements per SAK.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

• Support annual audit with documentation for external auditors.
• Monitor budget vs actual and provide variance analyses.

About the role

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Accountant and Finance professional to join our finance team at our Makassar office in Sulawesi Selatan. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in supporting the financial health and operational efficiency of PT Nova Modular Indonesia. You will be responsible for managing financial accounting processes, preparing accurate financial reports, and providing financial insights that inform business decision-making. This role is essential to ensuring compliance with Indonesian accounting standards and regulations whilst contributing to the strategic financial planning of the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, journal entries and account reconciliations
• Generate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with Indonesian Financial Accounting Standards (SAK)
• Conduct account reconciliations and ensure the integrity of financial data across all accounting systems
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment verification and collections
• Assist with tax compliance and preparation of tax-related documentation and returns
• Support the annual audit process by providing necessary financial documentation and explanations to external auditors
• Monitor and analyse financial performance against budgets and provide variance reports
• Maintain organised financial records and ensure compliance with document retention policies
• Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and ensure accurate cost allocation
• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance the efficiency of accounting operations

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Professional certification such as Akuntan Publik (AP) or equivalent qualification is highly desirable
• Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting within a manufacturing or industrial setting
• Strong proficiency with accounting software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
• Advanced knowledge of Indonesian tax regulations and Financial Accounting Standards (SAK)
• Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office applications
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Fluency in Indonesian and English (both written and verbal) is essential
