Job summary

PT Pelayaran Pasifik Indonesia is seeking a Finance/AR associate to manage invoicing, payments, and AR for our maritime operations. You will ensure accurate billing and timely collection to support vessel services such as bunker fuel and fresh water.

Ideal candidates may be fresh graduates with a solid grasp of accounting concepts, strong Excel skills, and the ability to communicate in Mandarin. Training will be provided and immediate joining is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Accounting/Finance with strong numerical skills.
• Fresh graduates may apply with training provided.
• Proficiency in Excel and basic accounting concepts.

Responsibilities

• Issue invoices, debit notes, and tax invoices accurately.
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Record incoming payments into Accurate system and reconcile bank statements.
• Prepare POs for operational supplies and coordinate with vendors.
• Support financial operations for bunker fuel and fresh water provisioning.

Job description

This role involves managing financial operations and accounts receivable for a maritime transportation services company. You will handle invoicing, payment processing, banking reconciliation, and supplier management for operational needs including bunker fuel and fresh water supplies for vessels.

Key responsibilities

• Issue invoices, debit notes (DN), and tax invoices for company operations accurately
• Monitor, compile, and follow up on outstanding customer receivables (AR)
• Record and input incoming payments from operational bank accounts into the Accurate system
• Download bank statements and organize all payment and banking transaction documentation
• Review Payment Request Forms (FPP) submitted internally
• Act as Maker for payment transactions via banking according to approved FPP
• Source suppliers, compare quotations, and negotiate pricing for fresh water supply for vessels
• Issue Purchase Orders (PO) for bunker fuel and fresh water requirements
• Create FPP and record payment transactions for bunker fuel and fresh water in Accurate

About you

• Fluent in Mandarin Chinese for daily communication (verbal and written)
• Minimum D3 or S1 education (preferably in Accounting, Finance, Management, or related field)
• Open to fresh graduates or those without prior experience (training will be provided)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet applications
• Detail-oriented, honest, with strong communication skills and proactive approach
• Available to join immediately
• Experience in Finance or Accounts Receivable (AR) is advantageous
• Experience in shipping, logistics, or maritime agency industries is advantageous
• Familiarity with Accurate accounting software and corporate internet banking (such as MCM) is advantageous
