Job summary

amIT Global Solutions Sdn Bhd is seeking a Data Center Operations Technician to monitor facilities, perform inspections, and respond to incidents across 24/7 shifts. You will assist in installation, relocation, and decommissioning of IT equipment, maintain records, and coordinate with vendors for issue resolution.

The role requires familiarity with X86 servers, power and cooling systems, and network devices, plus CAD and MS Office proficiency. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or above in computer or electrical field.
• Familiar with X86 server hardware testing and maintenance.
• Knowledge of data center power, UPS, grounding, cooling, cabling, and security systems.
• Experience in data center construction or large IDC operations preferred.
• Proficient with CAD drawing software and MS Office suite.
• Strong communication, reliability, and ability to work a 24/7 shift.

Responsibilities

• Monitor data center facilities, systems and equipment during shifts.
• Inspect data center areas, racks, cabling, power and cooling systems.
• Respond to alarms, alerts and system incidents promptly.
• Perform first-level troubleshooting and coordinate with teams/vendors.
• Support installation, relocation and decommissioning of IT gear.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment status and shift handovers.
• Assist in continuous improvement of data center operations.
