Job summary

CLSA is seeking a seasoned Application Support professional to provide first‑line production support for wealth management and equity trading systems in Hong Kong. You will handle issues, collaborate with vendors and internal teams, and help deploy system upgrades and reports.

The role requires strong analytical skills, SQL/scripting knowledge, and fluency in English and Mandarin. Prior experience in investment banking or brokerage is advantageous, with a focus on stability and timely incident

Qualifications

• Degree holder/above in Computer Science or related discipline(s).
• 8-10 years experience in application support on trading systems (Sharp Point, TTL is advantage).
• Working or vendor experience in investment banking, brokerage, or system vendor is an added advantage.
• Sound knowledge of equity/futures trading and settlement system functionality, bank transfer, operation flow, HKEx and global market connectivity.
• Experience in dealing with end users and system vendors, problem solving and troubleshooting production issues.
• Exposure to SQL and scripting is an advantage.
• Knowledge in DB2 is an advantage.
• Good analytical and presentation skills.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Provide first line application production support for wealth management business.
• Manage, resolve and investigate production system issues for securities, futures, and options trading systems.
• Liaise with vendors and in-house teams to implement IT solutions.
• Plan and execute internal testing for system upgrades with documented results.
• Assist in developing in-house programs via SQL queries or updates.
• Support user acceptance testing and system deployments.
• Manage system upgrades or new projects according to change management policies.
• Perform rotated health checks to maintain stability and availability for local and global markets.
• Provide phone or remote support outside office hours when required.
