Job summary

Charterhouse Hong Kong is seeking an experienced Business Manager / Operations Manager to oversee the Hong Kong office, support client onboarding, and coordinate day-to-day operations in a lean wealth management setting. You will work closely with Compliance, Legal, and wealth advisory teams to ensure smooth processes and governance.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in operations or onboarding within financial services, with private banking, family office, or asset management exposure.

Qualifications

• Degree holder preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in operations, client onboarding, client services, office management, business management, or administration within financial services.
• Prior experience in private banking, wealth management, family office, external asset manager (EAM), or asset management environments is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of client onboarding processes, KYC, AML, account opening documentation, and operational controls.
• Experience working with HNW/UHNW client structures including individuals, corporations, trusts, family offices, partnerships, foundations, and investment vehicles would be advantageous.
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders across Business, Compliance, Legal, Operations, and external vendors.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on, proactive, and comfortable working within a lean and dynamic organization.
• Fluent English and Cantonese required; Mandarin is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations and administration of the Hong Kong office.
• Oversee office facilities, procurement, vendor management, and service providers.
• Coordinate client onboarding, account opening documentation, KYC reviews, and client record maintenance.
• Ensure proper filing and documentation management in accordance with internal and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with Compliance, Legal, and external partners on operational and onboarding matters.
• Coordinate with external marketing and advertising agencies on corporate materials and branding initiatives.
• Manage relationships with event vendors, souvenir suppliers, designers, and other third-party service providers.
• Support management on business projects, process improvements, and operational initiatives.
• Assist with client events, seminars, and corporate activities.
• Provide administrative and operational support to senior management and wealth advisory teams.
