Warehouse & Logistics Manager (Frozen Meat Wholesale)

Wah Cheong Trading (Hong Kong) Limited is a premier frozen meat wholesaler in Hong Kong, supplying premium products to top restaurants, hotels, and retailers. We prioritize food safety, efficiency, and seamless supply chain operations in a temperature-controlled environment.

Role Overview

We require an experienced Warehouse & Logistics Manager to lead both warehouse operations and logistics teams, while spearheading the design/implementation of a new Warehouse Management System (WMS). You will ensure seamless integration of inventory, logistics, and food safety protocols in a -25°C environment.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Management

• Manage daily operations (receiving, storage, dispatch) in -18°C to -25°C environments.
• Implement HACCP/GMP protocols and ensure compliance with HKFDA/ISO 22000.
• Optimize inventory via WMS systems, and regular audits.
• Lead warehouse staff (10+), ensuring safety, training, and productivity.
• Managing multiple cold rooms at different location.
• Manage and arrange warehouse/ cold rooms stocks storage system.
• Manage cold rooms internal stock transfer and maintaining transfer record for keeping the stock balance.
• Manage FIFO operation and ensure all team members are follow and comply.

Logistics Management

• Supervise the logistics team (10+ drivers, dispatchers, coordinators).
• Plan and optimize delivery routes for efficiency and on-time performance.
• Manage fleet operations (reefer trucks, forklifts), maintenance, and compliance.
• Negotiate with 3PL/carriers and oversee cross-border (HK-China) shipments if applicable.
• Coordinate with sales/procurement to meet delivery windows and reduce spoilage.

WMS Development & Digital Transformation

• Build/upgrade our WMS from scratch, selecting vendors or developing custom solutions.
• Define system requirements (RFID/barcode scanning, real-time inventory, IoT temperature tracking).
• Integrate WMS with ERP, TMS (Transport Management), and supplier/customer portals.
• Train teams on new technologies and drive adoption.

Cross-functional Duties

• Monitor KPIs: Inventory accuracy, OTIF, fuel costs, warehouse utilization.
• Prepare operational/financial reports for senior management.
• Ensure OSHA/EHS compliance across warehouse and logistics.

Requirements

• Experience: 7+ years in warehouse & logistics management, with 3+ years in frozen food/FMCG.
  • Expertise in WMS/TMS (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and cold-chain logistics.
  • Proven track record in fleet management and route optimization.
  • Deep knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and HK logistics regulations.
• Leadership: Strong ability to manage dual teams (warehouse + logistics).
• Language: Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese; Japanese is an advantage.
• Education: Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
