Job summary

Silène, a premier wine bar in Hong Kong, seeks a Waiter/Waitress to join a growing front-of-house team. You will interact with guests, support sommelier recommendations, and provide high-quality, wine-centric service in a lively, late-night setting.

Experience in hospitality helps, but eagerness to learn and a passion for guest experience are essential. Strong English is required; Cantonese/Mandarin are a plus. Great team environment awaits.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a bar, restaurant, or wine bar is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Passion for hospitality and guest experience.
• Interest in wine and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work evening and weekend shifts according to opening hours.
• Good command of spoken English; Cantonese and Mandarin are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver attentive, friendly, and professional service to all guests.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
• Assist guests with wine selections and relay recommendations from the sommelier team.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and dining areas.
• Support daily FOH operations and uphold Silène’s service standards.
• Work closely with team members to ensure smooth service during busy periods.

Job Overview

We are seeking a Waiter / Waitress to join our growing front-of-house team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hospitality, interacting with guests, and working in a wine-focused environment. While prior wine knowledge is an advantage, a strong willingness to learn and genuine interest in service and wine are essential.

You will work closely with our sommeliers and management team, gaining exposure to high-quality wines and professional service standards in a dynamic, late-night setting.
