Job summary

Morgan Stanley seeks a senior software leader to advance the commodities trading platforms across front-to-back lifecycle management. You will drive ideas, analyze complex data for stakeholders, and contribute hands-on coding in Scala/Java for multi-threaded, distributed systems.

Experience with derivatives risk, PV/Greeks, and pricing models for futures, swaps and options is essential. Strong cross‑team collaboration and cloud deployment skills are required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant IT experience expected for this senior role.
• Server-side Scala development with distributed caching experience.
• Experience in cloud deployments and microservices architecture.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of new ideas and/or policies in own area.
• Analyze multiple sets of information to create summaries for various stakeholders.
• Hands-on coding in Scala multi-threaded applications and distributed systems
• Work on commodities derivatives risk calculation across PV, Greeks, risk aggregation, hedging
• Model trade pricing for futures, options, swaps and basis swaps across asset classes
• Experience with cloud deployment, Kafka or MQ messaging techniques
• Work with non-SQL databases; mono-repo and React-based UI components
