Morgan Stanley Asia Limited is seeking a VP-level Software Developer to join the Global Rates Technology team. The role focuses on designing, developing, and supporting applications for Global Linear Rates and FXEM businesses, with initial work on the FXEM Funding platform enabling intraday and end-of-day funding views.
You will collaborate with product leads, traders, and operations to implement scalable, production-ready solutions while driving improvements across global regions.
The successful candidate will join the Global Rates Technology team as a VP-level Software Developer responsible for the design, development, enhancement, and support of applications serving the Global Linear Rates and FXEM businesses.
Initially, the candidate will be a core member of the Global FXEM Funding Project team, responsible for building a strategic platform that delivers funding reporting and trade booking capabilities for global FXEM products. The platform will provide both intraday and end-of-day funding views, support critical business workflows, and improve operational efficiency and transparency across regions.

Communicate regularly with product leads across the technology organization and discuss opportunities for improvement to existing and future technology solutions.
Design, develop, and maintain front-office applications supporting Global Linear Rates and FXEM trading businesses.
Lead and contribute to the architecture and implementation of the Global FXEM Funding platform
Deliver scalable and reliable solutions that support both real-time and end-of-day business processes.
Partner closely with strats, traders, operations, and technology teams to gather requirements and deliver business-driven solutions.
Enhance system performance, resiliency, and operational stability for mission-critical trading platforms.
Provide production support and drive timely resolution of business-critical issues.
At least 8 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.
The successful candidate is expected to contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and solution design through implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
Ability to effectively manage multiple functions or guide junior staff and initiatives.
Advanced understanding of business line and discipline with some knowledge of competitive environment and other disciplines.
Contribute to strategic technology initiatives, platform modernization efforts, and global system rollouts.
Ensure compliance with technology standards, development best practices, and control requirements.
The role requires strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively with global stakeholders in a fast-paced front-office environment.
