Job summary

Gravitas Recruitment Group Hong Kong is seeking an experienced Vice President/Assistant Vice President, Corporate Banker to join the Hong Kong team. You will manage and grow a diverse corporate portfolio, delivering lending, trade finance, cash management and treasury solutions.

You will partner with regional branches and product specialists to structure tailored financing solutions and drive multi-product deals, with a focus on TMT and Transportation/Logistics sectors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years of corporate banking coverage experience.
• Experience in TMT or Transportation & Logistics is advantageous.
• Strong credit analysis, loan structuring, and cross-selling of corporate banking products (Trade, Cash Management, Treasury).
• Ability to collaborate across regional teams and matrix structures.
• Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and deal execution skills.
• Excellent command of English and Cantonese/Mandarin to engage with regional and local clients.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and collaborative Vice President / Assistant Vice President, Corporate Banker to join our client's established Corporate Banking division in Hong Kong.

In this role, you will manage and expand a quality portfolio of regional and local corporate clients, driving revenue growth across lending, trade finance, cash management, and treasury solutions. You will work closely with regional branches and product specialists to structure tailored financing solutions and execute strategic deals.

Key Responsibilities

• Portfolio Management & Relationship Coverage: Manage, deepen, and grow relationships with corporate clients, acting as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor.

• Cross-Branch & Product Collaboration: Partner seamlessly with regional branches, product teams (Trade, Cash, Debt Capital Markets, Treasury), and risk partners to deliver cross-selling opportunities and execute multi-product deals.

• Deal Structuring & Execution: Lead end-to-end deal origination, structuring, negotiation, and credit approval processes for syndicated/bilateral loans, trade facilities, and working capital solutions.

• Credit Risk & Portfolio Health: Conduct rigorous credit analysis, prepare detailed credit applications, and conduct periodic reviews to ensure strong portfolio quality and adherence to regulatory and internal standards.

• Market & Sector Origination: Drive targeted client acquisition and deepen wallet share in key sectors, particularly TMT and Transportation/Logistics.

Key Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 7+ years of corporate banking coverage experience within a reputable commercial or international bank.

• Sector Expertise: Prior client coverage or transaction experience in TMT (Technology, Media & Telecom) or Transportation & Logistics is a distinct advantage.

• Skills & Competencies:

  • Proven track record in credit analysis, loan structuring, and cross-selling corporate banking products (Trade, Cash Management, Treasury).
