Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
  • 6+ years' experience delivering digital transformation, operational improvement, systems implementation, or change management projects.
  • Experience managing large-scale projects involving multiple stakeholders, workstreams and third-party vendors.
  • Experience in project governance, issue resolution, risk management, and value realisation tracking.
  • Strong change management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience facilitating workshops, training, and cross-functional collaboration sessions.
  • Ability to work effectively across regions, cultures, departments, and seniority levels.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Hospitality industry experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project governance and delivery activities across plans, RAID logs, tollgate reviews, budgets, steering committee updates, and progress reporting.
  • Coordinate with hotel teams, corporate stakeholders, and external vendors to support implementation, adoption, and issue resolution.
  • Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and stakeholder engagement across regions and functions.
  • Manage change management and communication activities to support adoption of new processes and technology.
  • Track project performance, labour optimisation outcomes, productivity improvements, and KPIs.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities for continuous improvement while keeping projects on track to deliver business value.

About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group Corporate Office within the Finance Operations Department in Hong Kong, the Transformation Project Manager is responsible for leading strategic transformation projects, with an initial focus on the Group\'s Labour Optimisation programme. The role supports the implementation of technology solutions, process improvements, and change management initiatives across Mandarin Oriental\'s global portfolio.


This is a 6-month fixed-term contract role focused on the successful delivery of a key global transformation initiative. The Transformation Project Manager reports to the Senior Operational Excellence Lead.


As Transformation Project Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties:
  • Lead project governance and delivery activities, including project plans, RAID logs, tollgate reviews, budgets, steering committee updates, and progress reporting.
  • Coordinate with hotel teams, corporate stakeholders, and external vendors to support successful implementation, user adoption, and issue resolution.
  • Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and stakeholder engagement activities across multiple regions and functions.
  • Manage change management and communication activities to support organisational adoption of new processes and technology solutions.
  • Track project performance, labour optimisation outcomes, productivity improvements, and agreed KPIs.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities for continuous improvement while ensuring projects remain on track to deliver intended business value.

As Transformation Project Manager, we expect from you:

  • Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 6 years\' experience delivering digital transformation, operational improvement, system implementation, or change management projects.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large-scale projects involving multiple stakeholders, workstreams, and third-party vendors.
  • Experience in project governance, issue resolution, risk management, and value realisation tracking.
  • Strong change management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience facilitating workshops, training, and cross-functional collaboration sessions.
  • Ability to work effectively across regions, cultures, departments, and seniority levels.
  • Self-motivated, organised, and results-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Hospitality industry experience preferred but not required.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
