Job summary

HTK is seeking a Technician in Hong Kong to participate in shifty duty teams, execute maintenance schedules, and perform corrective work under supervision. The role covers installation, operation, and maintenance of IP Telephony/PABX systems with focus on Huawei infrastructure. English/Chinese proficiency required.

Applicants should have a computing/electronics certificate and at least 1 year of technical support experience, plus familiarity with Windows, and a HK driving license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certificate in computing and/or Electronics Engineering with at least 1 year technical support experience on IP Telephony/PABX.
• Experience in supporting Huawei IP network infrastructure.
• Experience in Windows 10 & 11 support.
• HK driving license class 1/2 preferred.
• English and Chinese spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line and second-line technical support for Airport Telephone System.
• Monitor system alarms and logs per shift.
• Perform system health checks and daily operational verification.
• Handle fault calls and update incident records.
• Perform troubleshooting and rectification.
• Execute Planned & Preventive Maintenance.

Job description

Technician shall be able to:

• Participate in shifty duty teams according to the predefined roster;
• Execute Planned Maintenance schedules;
• Perform Corrective Maintenance work on a daily basis; and
• Implementation of modification and improvement works under the supervision of the Authority’s supervisory staff.

Technician

• Certificate in computing and/or Electronics Engineering or other appropriate discipline with at least 1 year technical support experience on the installation, operation and Maintenance services of IP Telephony/PABX system;
• With experiences in supporting Huawei IP network infrastructure;
• With experiences in supporting, Microsoft Windows 10 & 11 ;
• Valid Hong Kong driving license (class 1, 2) is preferable;
• Valid certificate of accessing to confined space which is recognized by HKSAR is preferable;
• Valid certificate of accessing to construction site which is recognized by HKSAR is preferable; and
• Spoken and written English and Chinese.

A. Front Line Support (24x7 Operations)

• Provide first-line and second-line technical support for Airport Telephone System.
• Monitor system alarms and logs per shift.
• Perform system health checks and daily operational verification.
• Handle fault calls and update incident records in IPMS (or equivalent system).
• Perform troubleshooting and rectification

B. Corrective Maintenance

• Diagnose and rectify hardware/software faults.
• Replace faulty components (phones, line cards, power supplies, network modules).
• Support cable fault investigation and coordinate with cabling teams.

C. Planned & Preventive Maintenance

• Execute scheduled maintenance activities
