Job Description

Candidates with less experience will be considered as Engineer / Assistant Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organize preventive and corrective maintenance and project works for IT based air traffic control (ATC) systems and its support facilities international airport.
• Plan, organize and supervise the maintenance/repair works for ATC systems/equipment and conduct system review to ensure meeting system KPI, e.g. system reliability and availability etc.
• Lead team to carry out fault diagnosis, investigation and provide rectification plan.
• Plan and lead team to perform safety case/assessment according to ICAO Safety Management System (SMS) and assure quality according to ISO 9001 standards.
• Prepare system modification/enhancement solution and lead team for the implementation as required.
• Solution for project tender bidding and lead team to manage and implement project including drafting design submission, requirements for materials/service procurement, supervision of sub-contractors installation works etc.
• Coordinate with various internal and external parties such as clients, vendors/suppliers etc.
• Conduct performance review of his/her subordinates and staff training/development plan.

Engineer / Technical Officer (Maintenance Services)

• Participate in projects such as aviation, airport terminal, radio systems for system implementation, preventive and corrective maintenance work at HK International airport.

Engineer / Technical Officer (Trunked Radio Mobile)

• The candidate will report to the Engineer on technical design, system implementation, planned and corrective maintenance of various radio communications systems.
• Plan & supervise contractors and control workmanship on various trunked mobile radio (TMR) and mobile radio projects at Hong Kong International Airport.
• Manage the work progress, including design submissions, factory inspections, site works, testing and commissioning activities, defect rectifications and as‑built drawings preparation.
• Assist in the coordination work with various internal and external parties to ensure that interfaces and works programs are achieved.
• Overtime work might be required.

Job Requirements

• Degree or Higher Diploma/Certificate or above in: Electronic/Electrical/Telecommunication/Computer/ Information Engineering etc.
• With at least 6 years relevant work experience in ATC systems for international airport and 3 years of which is in supervisory position for operating and maintaining the air control traffic systems for international airport; OR
• Corporate Member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers or equivalent with at least 1 year of post‑qualification working experience in ATC systems and 1 year of which is in a supervisory position; OR
• Full ICAO compliant Air Traffic Safety Electronics Personnel (ATSEP) training certificate with at least 4 years of post‑qualification working experience in ATC systems and 2 years of which is in supervisory position;
• Knowledge in ATC services/systems and Safety Management System (SMS) standards of International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and Hong Kong aviation authorities requirements on operations of Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA);
• Work in H24 standby duty, 7 x 24 shift duty and/or irregular hours including overnight, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays when required;
• Possession of valid Hong Kong driving license will be an advantage - Candidate with less academic qualification or working experience may be considered as Assistant Engineer or below.

Engineer / Technical Officer (Maintenance Services) Requirements

• Higher Diploma / Higher Certificate / Certificate in Electronic / Electrical;
• Engineering / Computer Science or related disciplines;
• At least three (3) years’ post qualification related work experience;
• Possession of a valid Hong Kong driving license class 1 and 2;
• Grade “A” Certificate of Registration of Electrical Worker is an advantage;
• Team player with communication skills;
• Shift duties are required.

Engineer / Technical Officer (Trunked Radio Mobile) Requirements

• Degree / High Diploma in Electronic or Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent.
• Several years of trunked mobile radio or mobile radio working experience (with 3 years in designing and planning or in a supervisory role).
• Good documentation and writing skills.
• Good knowledge in various radio communication standards.
• Hands on experience in trunked mobile radio and/or mobile radio system design & installation works.
• Have Green Card and Construction Worker Registration Card are essential.
• Have a valid HK Type 1 & Type 2 driving license is an advantage.
