The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology is seeking a Technical Officer in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering. The role focuses on maintaining essential equipment and supporting both research and teaching activities in a dynamic lab environment.

You will train students and staff on using advanced instruments, ensure strict safety compliance, and oversee procurement of supplies and new equipment.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or above in chemical engineering, chemistry, bioengineering or related field.
• Two years of relevant professional experience preferred.
• Strong technical skills with hands-on laboratory equipment knowledge.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and maintain essential scientific equipment to ensure smooth operations for research and teaching.
• Provide training sessions for students and staff on operation of specialized lab equipment.
• Enforce and audit rigorous laboratory safety protocols and guidelines.
• Procure laboratory supplies, consumables and new equipment.
• Facilitate laboratory courses and support departmental initiatives as assigned.
