Job summary

Advanced Biomedical Instrumentation Centre Limited in Hong Kong is seeking a Senior Technical Officer / Technical Officer to oversee safety compliance and support laboratory operations at the Hong Kong Science Park.

The role involves coordinating training, procuring and maintaining equipment, and performing manual handling tasks while ensuring strict safety standards. Cleanroom experience is a plus and the company offers competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Electronics/Electrical/Materials/Physics or related; strong written and spoken skills in English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
• Self-motivated, responsible, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and a strong safety mindset are essential.
• Prior experience in a cleanroom environment is an advantage.

Job Description

• Ensuring proper implementation of laboratory safety regulations


• Assisting in the delivery of training to laboratory users


• Supporting the procurement, operation, and maintenance of laboratory equipment


• Performing manual handling tasks, such as replacing gas cylinders and waste bottles


• Coordinating with the safety office on chemical handling, storage, and disposal


• Performing any other duties as assigned

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related discipline, with strong written and spoken skills in English and Chinese (including Putonghua). They should be self-motivated, responsible, and able to work effectively as part of a team. Attention to detail and a strong safety mindset are essential. Prior experience working in a cleanroom environment is an advantage.
