Job summary

Nextlink (HK) Technology Co., Ltd. is seeking an experienced solution architect to join our AWS solution team in Hong Kong. You will lead presales activities, own solution architecture, and drive proposal engineering with internal teams.

You will collaborate with Sales, Product, and Delivery to ensure accurate technical messaging, support RFP/RFQ responses, and mentor junior presales staff. Fluent English and Mandarin are required for effective partner communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 3-5 years in technical architecture, presales, or solution architecture roles within Cloud industry (experience with AWS would be an advantage)
• 1–2 years of leadership experience to streamline workload allocation and team performance
• Experience with one of the following programming languages: Python, Node.js, Java, C#, or C++
• Working knowledge of Linux, Web 2.0 development platforms, solutions, and related technologies (HTTP/HTTPS, RESTful API, sessions, XML/HTML)
• Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
• Exceptional communication and storytelling skills to translate technical value into business outcomes
• Expertise in DevOps, Database, Machine Learning, or Serverless Computing
• Strong sense of ownership and high performance in a dynamic environment
• Fluent in English and Mandarin for effective partner communication

Responsibilities

• Lead presales activities for key opportunities: understand customer requirements, define solution scope, and validate technical feasibility.
• Own and guide solution architecture: produce technical designs (high-level and where needed detailed), integration approach, and bill of materials/requirements.
• Drive proposal engineering with internal teams: ensure technical proposal accuracy, completeness, and alignment with commercial objectives.
• Run customer technical engagements: lead discovery workshops, technical presentations, demonstrations, and Q&A sessions.
• Coordinate internal stakeholders (Sales, Product, Engineering/Delivery): ensure consistent technical messaging and smooth transition from pre-sales to delivery.
• Support RFP/RFQ responses: lead interpretation of requirements and oversee technical response quality.
• Provide technical mentoring to presales/solution contributors when applicable.
• Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS, and participate in deep architectural discussions to design solutions for successful deployment in the cloud.
• As a key member of the Presales team, ensure success in building and migrating applications, software and services on the AWS platform
• Own each technical engagement, and ensure a timely and successful delivery of value
• Cooperate with sales team in planning and implementation leading to the growth of customer's AWS adoption
• Conduct training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or already using AWS
• Act as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams and support team
• Prioritize resources based on maximizing team productivity and customer satisfaction
• Proven ability to lead customer-facing technical discussions and deliver winning proposals.
• Strong command of English and Cantonese/Chinese (adjust based on role needs).
• Plus: AWS Certification (AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Profession, or Specialty); ISV experience; Experience with hybrid cloud environments and multi-cloud strategies.
• Preferred skills: Strong expertise in AWS services, architecture patterns, and best practices; Proficiency in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code; Experience designing, building, refactoring or operating large scale IT projects
